WEDDING COLLATERAL

My wife graciously gave me full creative control for our wedding in August 2022, so I designed a formal visual identity for the event and its surrounding materials. We wanted to avoid the traditional airy wedding aesthetic and instead, showcase our relationship by evoking the rich history of the venue (The InterContinental Hotel - Magnificent Mile) with a modern twist. The ballroom is highly reflective of the hotel’s 1929 construction, filled with gold ornamentation, ornate crystal lighting and a ceiling painted with Italian Renaissance motifs.

It was from this aesthetic that I created the brand identity, website, signage, emails and handouts with a contemporary interpretation of Art Deco to tell our story. The result was a celebration of both our history together and the history of Chicago itself.
